Facility Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing

Location: Davie County, NC
Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000

About the Role

As a Facility Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant operations. You’ll oversee facility maintenance, infrastructure, and utility systems while managing a small team of two electricians. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee facility operations and ensure smooth functioning of infrastructure systems.

• Manage facility-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and repairs.

• Monitor and optimize energy usage and utilities for maximum efficiency.

• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.

• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed.

• Prepare and manage facility budgets, schedules, and documentation.

• Supervise and support a team of two electricians.

Specific Systems You’ll Manage:

• HVAC and climate control

• Dust extraction and air filtration

• Compressed air systems

• Electrical distribution (panels, switchgear, transformers, UPS)

• Plumbing and wastewater systems

• Fire protection and life safety systems

• Lighting systems (including emergency and exterior)

• Material handling systems (conveyors, dock equipment)

• Security and access control

• Environmental and emissions control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred).

• 3+ years of facility or maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience supervising maintenance personnel (electricians or technical staff).

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
