POSITION SUMMARY:
Brunswick Vacation Rentals and Carolina Getaway is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with experience maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems to keep our vacation homes in excellent condition. You’ll handle daily maintenance tasks, conduct routine inspections, and respond quickly to guest needs, working both independently and alongside our team.
Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to high-quality service will play a key role in ensuring our homes are safe, comfortable, and guest-ready. Through your work, you’ll help create the positive, memorable experiences that define Brunswick Vacation Rentals and Carolina Getaway. This position does have access to a company vehicle during working hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance issues, ensuring all properties are in excellent condition.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, some HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, providing solutions to ensure guest safety and comfort.
- Ensure all properties meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with property managers to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Address guest maintenance requests and concerns promptly and professionally, enhancing the overall guest experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, building systems, and safety regulations, including basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess issues accurately, develop effective solutions, and proactively identify repairs before they escalate.
- High attention to detail to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, inventory, and multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with guests, staff, and contractors.
- Commitment to providing exceptional service and responding promptly to guest concerns.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software, tools, and technology.
- Ability to remain composed and effective when handling unexpected situations and emergencies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Hourly Rate: $21.00
