About This Role:

The Residential Fire Sales Operations Specialist will be responsible for building out a strategy to increase our Customer Score Card as it relates with Electronic Orders. This role will create a roadmap and plan for the growth of electronic orders, with the anticipation that we will bring in new customers and selling partners. In addition, the Sales Operations Specialist will support the Residential Fire Sales, Customer Service and Analytics teams with electronic orders managed via EDI Transactions. You will also work with the Trading Partners (Customers) as required to ensure smooth EDI data flow between KGS and its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a strategic roadmap to improve our Customer Score Card for all Electronic Transactions, which should include electronic order acknowledgement for every order.
  • Develop Metrics related with our performance factors in electronic orders and regularly review and analyze EDI performance to identify areas for improvement and propose analytic initiatives.
  • Build customized dashboards and transaction filters in EDI HQ to deliver actionable insights and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to define the best practices for the Residential Fire Team and build a historical repository of issue management as a knowledge base for future hires or customer service personnel.
  • Teach and train others on the processes and system; Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions and create documentation to build internal team capability, ensure continuity of support, and reduce dependency on individual resources.
  • Create and maintain mapping specifications, SOPs, and integration guides to support standardization and knowledge sharing.
  • Proactively monitor EDI transactions, ensuring SLA adherence through timely troubleshooting and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Perform and publish detailed root cause analysis to identify and eliminate systemic issues, reducing recurring errors and downtime.
  • Lead EDI system upgrades and implement enhancements to maintain stability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Logistics, and Operations teams as necessary to align EDI solutions with organizational objectives and support cross-functional efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and serve as a point of escalation for complex EDI issues.
  • Monitor EDI transactions for errors and ensure seamless transfer of data between EDI HQ and the ERP system (JD Edwards), and between EDI and the Trading Partners.
  • Work with trading partners (KGS Customers) to coordinate onboarding, set up secure connections (AS2, SFTP, VAN, etc.), exchange test files, validate transaction flows, and resolve issues to ensure smooth and compliant communication.
  • Work with existing Trading Partners to update their EDI specifications as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings for new partner onboarding (requirements gathering, testing, go-live planning) and issue resolution (root cause analysis, cross-functional troubleshooting, and corrective action planning).

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5+ years’ relevant Sales Operations experience.
  • 3+ years of X12 EDI experience, including but not limited to EDI 850, 855, 856 and 810 documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Basic understanding of AS2 Communications.
  • Strong technical architecture and team lead skills.
  • Planning, assigning, and supervising the work of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with EDI HQ software.
  • Experience interfacing with JD Edwards systems.
  • Experience with EDI in the CPG (Consumer Package Goods) industry.
  • Experience working in a global company with a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding database concepts such as database structures, query languages (SQL), and data warehousing principles.
  • Proven track record of building collaborative relationships across functional areas.
  • Self-starter with an ability to drive projects from initiation to completion.
  • Adept at prioritizing work and key projects based on the needs of the team and the business.
  • Familiarity with United States and Canada Consumer Product ordering cycles.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this role is $90,950.00 – $107,000.00. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
