Lead Java developer

Job Title: Lead Java Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite/Hybrid as per client requirement)

We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and API development with proven leadership and mentoring abilities.

• Lead a team of Java developers in building scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.

• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers to improve overall code quality.

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions.

• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• 8+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development.

• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture .

• Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs .

• Good knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, etc.).

• Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

• Previous experience leading development teams is a must.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
