Hospital PACU Nurse | Matthews, North Carolina
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Demonstrated experience in PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) required
- Knowledge of monitoring, post-operative recovery, and pain management protocols
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical areas
- Dedication to patient safety, quality, and privacy Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts
- Provide direct patient care throughout post-anesthesia recovery, addressing physiological and psychological needs
- Monitor vital signs, administer IV medications, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and transitions
- Educate patients and their families regarding recovery processes, discharge instructions, and post-procedure expectations
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, adhering to strict safety and infection control protocols
- Support a culture of empathy and respect at all stages of patient recovery
