We're looking for an Electrical Designer at our Cary, NC / Conshohocken, PA /Cincinnati, OH / Indianapolis, IN office locations who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. You’ll thrive as you perform computer-aided drafting and design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for our client’s advanced facilities. Utilizing Revit MEP, you’ll create layouts, sketches, 2D/3D modeling, and electronic document files. Our designers are responsible for delivery of complex packages in coordination with engineers and design leads and form the core of our electrical delivery team

Some of the responsibilities will include:

• Candidate will develop key Electrical deliverables including power, grounding, and lighting systems.

• Coordination with other disciplines, and trade partners while executing the design.

• The candidate will assure compliance with client expectations, Jacobs Standards, National and Local Codes, and Industry Standards on their projects.

Here's what you'll need

• Two year Associate’s Degree in relevant field is highly recommended

• At Least 3 years’ Revit design experience

• Must also be familiar with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu.

• Proficiency in Navisworks and/or Revizto and AutoCAD

• US Citizen

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

• Exposure to NEC and electrical design requirements

• Facility design experience

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary and international teams

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

• Passionate about buildings and construction

The base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $115,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
