ER RN Job Details – Greensboro, NC

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center (Adult Side)
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820–$1870
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
• Holiday Coverage: As needed
• On-Call: No call required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• First-time travel nurses welcome – great opportunity for new travelers
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Previous Charge RN and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Education verification through third-party required
• No local candidates accepted (must reside 50+ miles from facility)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to adult patients
• Perform triage, assessment, and interventions for trauma, cardiac, stroke, and general emergencies
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and deliver advanced life support as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services)
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Participate in unit-based orientation and complete all required modules
• Float to other campuses within the health system as needed
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including attendance and timely onboarding completion
