Project Manager I
- Work with cross functional teams to define and document process improvement goals and initiatives.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant team members and stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects.
- Assess and procure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Measure, track, and report project progress and milestones and provide status reports to management and process owners.
- Manage and communicate changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques, forms, and processes.
- Establish, manage, and maintain the relationship with the client (internal or external), all stakeholders and project team members, and third parties/vendors.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain project documentation.
- Delegate project tasks based on project team members’ individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
- Partner with process owners to ensure proper documentation of project-related processes are in place or established.
- Ensure successful completion of all project-related tasks.
- Ensure that QA, regression testing, and UAT (user acceptance testing) are planned and executed as required to meet expectations.
- Act as a liaison or support collaborations with clients or vendors to resolve any project issues.
- Support the EMS|MC PMO by ensuring understanding, commitment, and application among all strategic decision makers for the successful application of best practice project management, problem solving, and Lean implementation tools and methodologies. Ensures consistency with corporate goals, direction, policies, and guidelines.
- Lead, coach, and motivate process owners and project team members on a positive basis while regularly communicating clear expectations to ensure project success.
- Conduct presentations of information concerning specific projects.
- Assist in the management of larger projects/programs and the EMS|MC PMO.
- Assist in mentoring and guiding project team members to deliver on the project/program requirements.
- Assist with planning and leading refresher activities and forums for continual learning.
- Proactively identify deficiencies and provide appropriate feedback and suggestions for improvement to management and client to resolve and prevent issues for any non-compliant internal processes.
- Perform and/or provide backup assistance for other IT and/or Operational administrative functions as required.
- Use and continually develop leadership skills.
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency and/or certifications related to Project Management.
- Willing and able to adapt to changes in work environment, procedures, priorities, and job duties.
- Conduct all job tasks, duties, and interactions with professionalism, respect, a positive attitude, and in accordance with company compliance policies and applicable government regulations.
- Consistently support and demonstrate the company mission and values.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience and project management certifications/involvement with EMS|MC PMO and/or strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management and vendor management
- 1-2 years of experience working as a high contributor to dynamic, project-based teams
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret project requestor needs and translate them into comprehensive project requirements
- Ability to evaluate processes and make recommendations/improvements
- Assertive, highly communicative role with responsibilities to organize a group of varying team members/stakeholders and tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required with a heavy emphasis on documentation of processes and projects
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Organizational skills with a developing skillset in Project Management
- Ability to hold others accountable for deadlines and deliverables (non-management role)
- Analytical problem-solving with ability to dissect complex business problems
- Comfortable with the use of project management tools and application proficiency
- General office environment
- Frequent typing/data entry
- Sitting for long periods of time, some standing
- Use of basic office equipment such as PC, fax, printer, copier, telephone, scanner
