HR Coordinator
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join our team and provide vital administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department. This role ensures HR policies and procedures are administered in alignment with company standards as well as federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can make an impact by supporting employees and leaders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing timely, professional support and resolution.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
- Partner with management and employees to foster positive work relationships, boost morale, and promote retention.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Recommend and implement improvements to workflows, processes, and policies to enhance compliance and efficiency.
- Stay current on HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies.
- Track and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, including anti-harassment and discrimination programs.
- Support the development of site-specific policies for newly awarded contracts.
- Lead the response process for verification of employment (VOE) and unemployment claims (UI).
- Coordinate employee offboarding, ensuring accurate processing and documentation in the HRIS.
- Maintain accurate employee records and confidential files.
- Support administrative processes such as scanning, data entry, and electronic filing.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to support HR initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and internal standards.
- Provide support for HR reporting and documentation related to ACA, ADA, COBRA, EEOC, EEO-1, FMLA, FFCRA, and other employment laws.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, including exposure to employee relations and compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote) and HRIS systems.
- Other Requirements:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an approved MVR while on company business.
- Ability to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings (medical, background, and substance).
