Description of Work

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is currently recruiting for a full-time Maintenance/Construction Tech III (Plumber).

Recruitment Range: $41,206.00 - $72,113.00

Salary Range: $41,206.00 - $72,113.00

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • General plumbing maintenance and repair
  • Installation of ADA-compliant bathroom fixtures
  • Installation and repair of water, sewer, and steam lines
  • Working from written work orders, instruction manuals, blueprints, sketches, and oral instructions with precision and accuracy
  • Compliance with state, federal, and local codes as applicable
  • Miscellaneous mechanical duties
  • Safeguarding residents, staff, and visitors at all times

ABOUT BLACK MOUNTAIN NEURO-MEDICAL TREATMENT CENTER:

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state-operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.

We are a specialized long-term care facility focusing on maintaining quality of life and dignity for adults with neurocognitive or neurodevelopmental disorders with coexisting complex medical and behavioral needs whose level of support extends beyond that which can be provided in family or community living settings. Minimum Education and Experience

High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Special Qualification: May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
