NOTE: AP and T/E, Billing Operations, GL, Treasury Operations (needs the most care and time), Payroll operations – these are five areas that would roll up into this individual. Each group has a manager that would be reporting into this consultant.
POSITION
Oversee a team of corporate accounting and treasury operations professionals responsible for reconciliations, general accounting functions (fixed assets, leases, general accruals, corporate accounting, billing operations, payroll operations, and ledger management), and treasury operations. In this role, you will lead a team of operational accountants and treasury professionals to meet standards of
excellence with assigned responsibilities as well as support for internal teams and ongoing enhancements to controls. Leader should have a minimum of 10 years of experience managing accounting or treasury operations teams, preferably in asset management and/or fund accounting functions and a track record of increasing responsibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a team of corporate accounting operations professionals responsible for daily/monthly/quarterly corporate accounting
operations functions, including fixed assets, leases, general accruals, corporate accounting, billing operations, payroll operations,
and ledger management functions.
• Manage a team of treasury operations professionals responsible for managing daily/weekly/monthly cash needs, moving cash as
required, and ensuring legal entity level cash accounts and regulatory requirements are appropriately maintained.
• Responsible for the month/quarter/year-end close process and related controls and audit support.
• Responsible for interfacing with business partners across the organization, inclusive of the financial reporting and accounting,
finance, technology, risk, and accounts payable teams.
• Support staff with training, coaching and skills development. Lead the team to strive for service excellence, continual improvement
and a team approach.
• Escalate issues to resolve discrepancies timely.
• Identify opportunities to reduce risk, increase efficiencies and collaborate with others to make meaningful positive change
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10 plus years of accounting or treasury operations experience, with 2+ years leading teams
• Demonstrated time management, analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
• Proven ability to identify operational risks and implement appropriate controls risk
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and execution excellence.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in leading other mid- and back-office roles such as trade support, accounts payable, intercompany processing,
treasury, portfolio operations, or other related fields.
• Advanced experience with Excel.
