General Summary:
This is an entry-level accounting position responsible for basic financial record-keeping tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, generating reports, and assisting with basic financial analysis, typically under the supervision of a more senior accountant, often requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software and accounting principles.
JOB DUTIES:
- Entering vendor bills into our accounting software with accurate due dates.
- Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
- Maintaining new vendor creation and updating existing vendor records.
- Preparing journal entries.
- Generating basic financial reports like trial balances and schedules.
- Assisting with budget preparation.
- Data entry into accounting software.
- Filing and maintaining accounting documents.
- Collection of past due accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance positions.
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Works well under pressure.
- General understanding of accounting regulations and procedure, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
