ER RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1730
• Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Roxboro, North Carolina 27573
• Facility: Emergency Department – 12-bed ED with fast track areas
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/18/2025 – End: 11/17/2025)
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
• Orientation: Weekly, every Monday
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech
• Free Parking
• Joint Commission Accredited Facility

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of recent emergency room nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Proficient in caring for patients on ventilators, BiPAP, central and arterial lines
• Experience in trauma stabilization and transfer preparation
• Strong team-oriented attitude and collaborative skills
• Dress code: Blue scrubs; sweatshirts and t-shirts permitted with scrub pants (no offensive language or political statements)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, including trauma and acute illness cases
• Stabilize trauma patients and coordinate transfers as needed
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6, ensuring safe and effective care
• Administer critical drips and perform advanced procedures (preferred: chest tube insertion)
• Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team in a fast-paced emergency department
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR
