Sustainability Analyst
Sustainability Analyst Location: Greensboro, NC, US, 27409 Position Type: Professional Transport is at the core of modern society. What you will do As a Sustainability Analyst, you will be responsible for providing a holistic view of the Group's North American business through the tracking, forecasting, and reporting of various business and regulatory parameters. You will contribute to the strategic direction for products in the Research and Development (RnD) Portfolio and support the creation of Product Plans and the Long-Term Volume Forecast (LTVF). You will also be involved in product related regulatory discussions and assess scenarios for compliance. Regulatory Work:
- Develop tools for tracking, forecasting, and reporting regulatory compliance.
- Present results to various levels within the company.
- Collaborate with the truck brands (Volvo & Mack) and other stakeholders on strategies and best methods.
- Train and educate the various personnel in the Group in regulations that directly affect the Product Plan and customers.
- Develop tools and methods for communicating the Group Trucks Technology (GTT) RnD Portfolio to stakeholders.
- Participate and lead balancing discussions with the truck brands, range management, and engineering.
- Insure synchronization between the Product Plan, the RnD Portfolio, and the LTVF.
- Synchronize early-phase project activities between SPP, range management, and engineering.
- Participate in the Long-Term Volume Forecast (LTVF) activities for North America.
- Serve on global teams to improve SPP's processes and procedures.
- Participate in product clinics, customer surveys, and competitor comparisons.
- Continuously build expert knowledge through customer contacts, industry literature and publications, trade & truck shows, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Product Management, Business, or related fields.
- 2 - 10+ years of trucking industry related experience
- Proven experience analyzing data using tools like MS Office and Power BI.
- Ability to find trends, make conclusions, and predict future outcomes based on data sets.
- Communicate and present information effectively in different settings (written, in-person, virtual) and to various audiences.
- Effectively collaborate in global team settings while also demonstrating proficiency when working independently.
- Evident enthusiasm and demonstrated ability to take initiative to achieve results.
- Consistently maintain accuracy by paying close attention to detail.
- Growth mentality with a desire to learn.
- Knowledge the Volvo Group's brands and products.
- Knowledge of the North American truck market and industry.
- Knowledge of national level and state level regulations, especially emissions regulations.
