We are looking for a Senior Azure Architect to join our Platform Engineering group. This individual will be instrumental in building an enterprise-scale internal developer platform designed to eliminate infrastructure friction while maintaining strict security and cost governance.

responsibilities:

Core Mission

The architect will design standardized, production-ready architectures that allow engineering teams to deploy complex workloads securely and reliably. They will bridge the gap between infrastructure operations and developer experience.

Technical Focus Areas

• Enterprise Architecture : Develop reference architectures for compute runtimes, specifically AKS , Azure Container Apps , and Azure App Service .
• High Availability & DR : Design Active-Active multi-region systems for Tier 1 services with an RTO <4hr .
• Data & Networking : Build secure networking fabrics (Hub-and-Spoke, Private Link) and manage failover patterns for PostgreSQL , Cosmos DB , and Redis .
• Infrastructure as Code : Proficiency in Terraform is required to build modular, reusable, and testable enterprise code.
• Security by Design : Implement rigorous policy enforcement and identity management using Entra ID (Managed Identities, Federated Credentials).

Candidate Profile

• Expert Knowledge : Deep understanding of the Azure control plane, quotas, and architectural trade-offs.
• Day-2 Operations : Experience with observability stacks including Azure Monitor , Application Insights , and Prometheus .
• Governance : Ability to translate complex requirements into reusable, policy-compliant patterns and cost controls.
• Value Adds : Familiarity with Wiz (security) , FinOps , GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) , and Azure management APIs.

qualifications:
- Architecture & Runtimes: Deep expertise in AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Azure Container Apps, and App Service.

- Infrastructure as Code: Expert-level Terraform (creating modular, testable enterprise-grade modules).

- Resiliency Expert: Proven experience designing Active-Active multi-region architectures with strict RTO (<4hr) requirements.

- Advanced Networking: Designing secure Hub-and-Spoke topologies, Private Links, and Private Endpoints.

- Identity & Governance: Expert knowledge of Entra ID (Managed Identities, Federated Credentials) and policy enforcement.

Top Technical Priorities

- Data Failover: Managing high-availability and failover patterns for PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and Redis.

- Standardization: Bridging the gap between infra-ops and dev experience by building production-ready reference architectures.

- Observability: Implementing Day-2 operations via Azure Monitor, App Insights, and Prometheus.
