Site Training Leader
- Serve as the primary owner of the end-to-end training process, including design, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of training programs and standards across the organization.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business objectives, including needs assessment, curriculum design, content development, and evaluation of training effectiveness.
- Build and manage partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and external stakeholders to support talent pipelines, community outreach, and joint training initiatives.
- Lead and support team of training professionals by developing their skills and career growth.
- Maintain a current schedule for all approved training and a list of SME's that are approved to deliver that training. Ensure that each training module is delivered with the appropriate quality, that the instructor is professionally prepared, and delivers the key messages of the training.
- Maintain a database reflecting training status of each employee.
- Support lean transformation by assessing and actively problem-solving training need gaps in partnership with SMEs.
- Support all functions in delivery of specific functional training needs by advising, mentoring, providing feedback, and assessing effectiveness. Collect relevant examples to tailor training that resonates with the local audience.
- Connect with other sites to leverage training best practices. Establish a network of external sources to deliver training when internal resources do not exist.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 3 years of manufacturing experience or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Minimum of 3 years in Training Design and Delivery, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, and eager to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and other departments
- Instructional experience in a manufacturing facility setting
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
- Experience providing full-scope training materials, from analyzing site needs to lesson planning, development, and implementation
- Extensive knowledge of best practices in creating instructional materials
- Experience creating yearly training plans and materials for all departments
- Be organized, ability to multitask, experience with digital systems
- Strong understanding of Safe Work permitting / JSA, Lock out/Tag out, and other permits
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong Computer Skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and document control systems
