Rough End Crewmember

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Rough End Crewmemberworks in ECMD's stair part manufacturing facility and is responsible for off bearing an assortment of wood products from miscellaneous machines in the round end department. The crewmember is responsible for stacking or bundling the good quality product neatly on a cart, and asiding the scrap or waste to a scrap cart or waste bin. Off bears wood product from the extremity of the machine and makes a visual inspection of the product as it exits the machine. Some materials, depending on the quality, may require a second pass through the machine. Asides waste or scrap to a scrap container or waste bin. Bundles or stacks on a cart the good quality product for further processing. Counts the product when the order is completed and gives information to the machine operator. Keeps the machine operator informed of quality or production problems. Practices good housekeeping by keeping the area swept and the equipment clean. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job. Requirements: Use and read a tape measure and caliper and perform simple mathematical calculations. Communicate and work with a small group of other employees. Employees must proficiently read, speak and understand English.
