We are seeking applicants for a Staff Accountant with an excellent client near High Point. This position involves managing daily accounting and tax-related tasks across multiple retail stores and design centers. The role requires strong technical skills in QuickBooks and Excel, as well as the ability to reconcile complex accounts and ensure compliance with sales tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily updates in QuickBooks POS and Enterprise for several retail locations and design centers.

• Maintain and update an Access database for daily transactions.

• Support store teams with accurate sales tax calculations and verify weekly sales tax liability reports in QuickBooks.

• Communicate with design centers and retail stores to resolve issues identified in QuickBooks management reports.

• Reconcile twelve bank accounts regularly.

• Complete reconciliations for sales tax, flexible spending accounts (medical and dependent care), royalties, commissions, and other general ledger accounts as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in bank and general ledger reconciliations.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks (including POS), with knowledge of inventory, sales orders, and purchase orders.

• Prior experience with sales tax is highly desirable.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
