Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic evaluations.

Essential Functions:
- Perform MRI scans on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the imaging process.
- Maintain and operate MRI equipment, performing routine checks and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide diagnostic evaluations.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in all procedures.
- Document patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history accurately.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of FDA safety standards, cardiac pacemakers, and other contraindicated items upon entering the magnetic field.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in the field.
Requirements:
- ARRT registry in MRI.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to perform DEXA preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required.
- Valid certification in MRI technology from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Experience or familiarity with additional imaging modalities such as CT, DEXA scan, or sonography is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Hours:
Weekly schedule will consist of (3) 10-hour shifts and (1) 6-hours shift, totaling a 36-hour work week. Will be required to work 1:6 weekend in rotation. May work other hours for the effective operation of the Radiology department.
