• Location: Greensboro, North Carolina (zip 27403)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Job Type: Locum Tenens (Travel RN Contract)
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks (no 13-week option)
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: October 7, 2025
• End Date: April 7, 2026
• Weekend & Holiday Rotation: Required
• Floating: Required across all Cone Health facilities as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (no first-time travelers)
• Previous Charge RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Must pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
• Compliance file must be completed by the Wednesday prior to start date
• No local candidates accepted (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Greensboro, NC)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting
• Float to other units and Cone Health facilities as needed
• Perform Charge RN duties and provide clinical leadership
• Administer blood products, heparin, insulin, and PCA
• Manage peripheral lines, PICC lines, and initiate IVs
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Utilize rapid response teams and respond to medical emergencies
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Complete all required orientation modules
