As a Sr Demand Planner here at Honeywell, you will be managing demand and asset planning in a manufacturing environment for Honeywell's Business Unit. You will be a key driver of demand and asset planning within our vibrant manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the development of a high-quality Demand forecast critical for Supply Planning and Financial Forecasting. In this role, you will impact the accuracy and efficiency of our supply chain through meticulous executive demand plan reviews and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your strategic involvement in sales forecast analysis, production planning, and supply chain optimization projects ensures that we not only meet customer requirements but also stay ahead of market dynamics. By presenting key performance metrics and demand forecasts to Leadership, you contribute to informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. Your commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement inspires the team to achieve operational excellence. In summary, your role directly shapes the future of demand planning at Honeywell, driving customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall business success. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
- Developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
- Coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances
- Interacting with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers
- Providing input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
- Challenge assumptions: Use a critical mindset to challenge assumptions and get to the best plan.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
- Any Degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Min 5+ years of experience in Demand /Operations Production planning/materials management or Sales Inventory & Operations Planning related functional areas.
- Experience with a Demand Planning tool (e.g. RapidResponse, SAP APO module)
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
- Bachelor/Master's in business administration, accounting, operations management, marketing, or supply chain management.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems
- APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and delegate.
- Ability to collaborate with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to translate numbers and data into reliable insight
- Understanding of seasonality and peak demand times
- Presentation skills and speaking ability
- Confidence in your positions
- Extremely detail-oriented
