Special Education Teacher- Experience Required
* Motivate and support students to meet high academic and behavioral expectations.
* Collaborate with families to invest them in their child’s growth and Kuumba's Core Values.
* Use data to drive instruction, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
* Design and implement unit and lesson plans in collaboration with grade and subject teams.
* Ensure student accountability during all transitions, school trips, and events. *Special Education Responsibilities** Deliver research-based, individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP.
* Develop and implement comprehensive IEPs, including goals, instructional strategies, and service needs.
* Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed to support mastery of IEP goals.
* Employ a variety of teaching methods and tools to support diverse learning styles.
* Collaborate with support staff, general education teachers, and families to ensure student success. *Professional Growth & School Leadership** Partner with instructional coaches, grade-level leads, and school leaders to refine teaching practices.
* Engage in regular professional development, team planning, and data analysis sessions.
* Support school-wide culture by reinforcing expectations and volunteering for community events and leadership opportunities.
* Participate in the DTGSS teacher evaluation process for continuous growth. *What You Bring:** Strong instructional and classroom management skills

* Certified in Special Education in the state of Delaware
