Key Job Details – Psychiatric RN Locum Tenens

• Location: Wilson, NC 27893 – Convenient to Raleigh and North Carolina’s coast
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric and Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (July 30, 2025 – October 29, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (including some weekends)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1610
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric behavioral health patients
• Unit Size: 24/6 beds, plus emergency department (ED) coverage
• Patient Ratio: 1:10
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech
• Dress Code: Black scrubs required (no jeans or worn scrubs)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience (3+ years preferred)
• Experience with crisis intervention and behavioral health patients
• Ability to float within behavioral health units as needed
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Meditech EHR experience preferred

Psychiatric RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in inpatient psychiatric and crisis stabilization settings
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for behavioral health patients
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and response to psychiatric treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Respond to patients in crisis, providing de-escalation and crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
