  • Global Support and Development is seeking to hire a Director of Wellbeing and Experience! The position is full-time, in-person, and located at HQ in Charlotte, N.C.

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive employee wellbeing and experience approach aligned with the overall organizational strategy, culture, and core values;
    • Design and implement engaging programs that enhance workplace culture by prioritizing employee wellbeing, productivity, and collaboration to drive organizational results;
    • Design and implement a creative and compelling internal communications strategy to foster a connected, informed, and engaged workforce, ensuring every team member feels valued and bringing GSD's culture to life;
    • Design and lead initiatives that actively cultivate GSD's core values of Integrity, Humility, and Accountability, creating feedback loops and recognition programs that reinforce these behavioral standards in daily work;
    • Oversee the HQ workspace experience, ensuring it serves as a hub for collaboration and high-performance;
    • Provide change management leadership and support for organizational initiatives, and empower organizational leaders to effectively lead change within their respective teams;
    • Collaborate closely with the Director of HR and Development to ensure alignment between wellbeing and experience initiatives and talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations strategies. Provide insights and data to inform HR practices;
    • Establish key metrics to track the impact of wellbeing and experience initiatives on employee satisfaction, engagement, retention, and productivity. Analyze data and provide regular reports to leadership with actionable insights;
    • Direct the professional development and growth of direct reports and the departmental team as a whole. This includes mental health, workplace environment, and internal communications capacities;
    • Direct critical decision-making processes, to include identifying issues and driving problem-solving, especially in resource-constrained and time-sensitive contexts;
    • Develop and monitor department budget, KPIs, and other metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance;
    • Promote good stewardship of financial and other resources to achieve maximum benefit to those impacted by disaster or at risk of impact; and
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and training. Master's degree preferred;

    Experience

    • Seven (7) or more years of progressive management experience with demonstrated success in developing and implementing successful employee wellbeing and experience initiatives;
    • Strong understanding of the principles and best practices of employee wellbeing, engagement, and organizational culture;
    • Demonstrated knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, ideally supported by Prosci ADKAR certification or other recognized change management certification; and
    • Proven track record of successfully managing complex initiatives and working with senior leadership teams.

    Professional Licenses/Certifications

    • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g. SPHR, change management, project management) are a plus.

    Knowledge/Skills

    • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve quality results in dynamic environments and amidst change;
    • A proactive, innovative, and adaptable mindset, with a proven ability to design and implement person-centered programs that support a high-performing and thriving workplace culture;
    • Deep understanding of employee engagement strategies, workplace culture, and best practices in employee experience;
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under pressure and within deadlines, adapting to rapidly shifting tasks;
    • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels and diverse stakeholder groups;
    • Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams and stakeholders;
    • Proactive, innovative, and adaptable with a strong problem-solving mindset;
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently;
    • Experience working and/or traveling domestically and internationally; and
    • Working knowledge of Spanish and/or French desired.

    Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

    • At this time, GSD is not offering sponsorship and is only accepting applications from persons eligible to work in the United States.
    • GSD supports U.S.-based remote work on a limited basis.

    Working Conditions And Physical Demands

    Working Conditions

    Work is performed in an office setting and is generally sedentary, but may involve movement (e.g., walking, standing or otherwise being mobile throughout the office) for brief periods of time;

    • Ability to use hands, reach, and independently lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects;
    • Ability to bend and stoop;
    • Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time;
    • Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity to operate computer and other office equipment;
    • Ability to communicate effectively with others.

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to perform work indoors in an office environment;
    • Ability to work a varied schedule to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands;
    • Ability to travel to attend meetings, industry or professional association conferences and stay overnight as required.
    • Routine domestic and international travel up to 10% is required.
