Job Description
As the Senior Architect – Solutions (entroCIM Deployment Services) you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting entroCIM solutions across customer environments and Wesco-managed hosting platforms. You will work with business leaders, customer stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver reliable deployments, establish secure connectivity (e.g., VPN, Zero Trust), and ensure ongoing operational excellence. Key activities includes solution design, Linux-based application and SkySpark deployment/configuration, containerized tool deployment, hosting environment operations (Quest and Azure), SLA attainment, documentation, and building/operating a 24/7 Tier 1 support framework with defined escalation paths.
Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and design entroCIM solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Lead and support deployments at customer sites, ensuring environment readiness and secure connectivity (VPN, Zero Trust).
- Configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux-based applications and services.
- Implement and support SkySpark environments (in house/proprietary) for entroCIM implementations.
- Deploy and operate containerized tools (Docker/Podman) within the entroCIM solution stack.
- Manage operations for Wesco-hosted environments (Quest and Azure), including patching, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and capacity planning.
- Ensure SLA attainment and operational KPIs; establish reporting and continuous improvement practices.
- Build and manage a 24/7 Tier 1 support framework with defined escalation paths.
- Respond to tickets and customer technical inquiries with clear communication and resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation (architecture diagrams, network flows, baseline configurations, operational runbooks).
- Apply DevOps and automation practices to improve deployment repeatability and reduce operational risk.
- Promote security and compliance standards across hosting and customer environments.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent) preferred.
- 5 years of project experience designing and delivering cloud solutions on an enterprise scale required, 10 years preferred.
- Strong Linux administration and secure networking fundamentals preferred (VPN, routing/firewalls, DNS, TLS/certificates).
- Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, virtualization, storage, and networking.
- Knowledge of cloud governance for cost management and control.
- Familiarity with Agile development and SCRUM.
- Strong grasp of modern DevOps practices (automation, CI/CD, continuous integration).
- Knowledge of cloud-based Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
- Proficiency in container platforms (Docker/Podman) and lifecycle management preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure hosting operations (monitoring, backups, patching) preferred.
- Experience with automation tools and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with KPI reporting and SLA management.
- Ability to create and maintain operational documentation and support processes.
- Knowledge of security, privacy, and risk management practices relevant to hosting and customer environments.
- Cloud & DevOps Expertise: Over 5 years of experience in cloud computing (Azure-focused), including large-scale implementations, migrations, CI/CD, and disaster recovery automation.
- Skilled in Azure DevOps and equivalent tools (GoCD, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus), including Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, GitHub Actions, and IaC using Terraform.
- Cloud Technologies & Tools: Deep knowledge of Compute, Storage, Databases, API Management, Managed Apps, FaaS, and container platforms like AKS/EKS. Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, ServiceNow, Mobile Web toolkits, and Kubernetes.
- Agile Practices & Automation: Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies, continuous integration/deployment, test automation, and solution documentation/design.
- Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of IT compliance and risk management including security, privacy, PCI, PII, SOC-2.
Compensation
Salary range: $108,479 - $184,414 annually. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.
Compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
