• Job Title: Home Health Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Waynesville, NC 28785 (Western North Carolina hospice jobs)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract Nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/15/2025
• Shift: Day shifts
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours per Week: 40 (36 guaranteed)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Hospice Registered Nurse
• Proficiency with OASIS and HCHB (Homecare Homebase) documentation systems
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation

Hospice RN Responsibilities

• Serve as Hospice Case Manager, delivering compassionate home health and end-of-life care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality hospice services
• Educate patients and families on hospice care, symptom management, and available resources
• Accurately document patient care using OASIS and HCHB systems
• Travel locally within Waynesville, NC to visit hospice patients
