• Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: August 13, 2025
• End Date: November 12, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,800 - $1,840
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Size: 17-bed Emergency Department
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Electronic Health Record: ED Paragon
• Self-Scheduling: Available via "When to Work" app
• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs (HRMC t-shirts permitted; hoodies not permitted)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2-3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing or locum tenens experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIH Stroke
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Ability to efficiently and safely care for a diverse team of patients, including high-acuity cases
• Strong teamwork, friendly attitude, and a hardworking personality

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Manage common ED diagnoses such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric emergencies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using ED Paragon EHR
• Participate in self-scheduling and adhere to department dress code
