RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1 RN to 1-2 patients
• Stepdown unit coverage with ratios of 1 RN to 2-3 patients
• Must work 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule
• Self-scheduling available
• Float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed
• Dress code requires all navy, all white, or navy pants with white tops
• Work with Alaris pump equipment and Cerner documentation system
• Unit has Health Unit Coordinator working 9 AM to 9 PM, tech shared with PICU
• Perform IV starts, catheter insertions, hold for lumbar punctures, central line dressing changes
• Provide hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement
• Monitor ICP and manage ventilators
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year PICU experience required
