Delivery Route Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated owners/operator Delivery Driver to join our team. Individuals must have their own Sprinter, Cargo, or commercial vans to deliver the freight. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and adherence to traffic laws. Drivers will be operating in cities such as Elk River, Buffalo, Big Lake, Saint Michael, Forest Lake, Andover, and cities surrounding Rogers, MN areas

Delivery Contract Route Driver Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including Sprinter, Cargo, or commercial vans ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
• Execute route driving to deliver packages and goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Load and unload items, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
• Perform manual lifting of heavy items as required during deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each route completed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from recipients.

Delivery Contract Route Driver Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; pass a background check.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with moving goods.
• Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
