Job Responsibilities :

The Operations Controler role will report directly to the Vice-President/General Manager and whose responsibilities are split into two main categories:

Controller Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main interface with the company’s outside CPA firm
  • Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance
  • Maintaining subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
  • Balancing subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
  • Maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries
  • Balancing general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
  • Maintains historical records by filing documents
  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
  • Maintaining and reconciling all bank accounts monthly

Office Administrator Role Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing
  • Commercial and health insurance management
  • General HR duties such as payroll reporting, new hire documents, insurance/workers comp audits, etc.
  • General personnel management
  • Schedule and manage company maintenance/repair vendors

Job Details:

This is a full-time, in-office position with working hours of M-F, 8:30AM – 5PM. Benefits include paid vacation time as well as access to medical and dental plans and coverage. Little to no travel is required.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Office Administration
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Personnel Management
  • Attention to Detail
  • Good communicator

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree ( in a related field such as accounting, finance, or business management a plus)
  • Accounting/bookkeeping experience a must (combined with some office administration experience preferred)
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
