OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Industrial Distributor

Location: Raleigh, NC
Compensation: $48,000 base salary plus uncapped commission potential. Typical earnings range from $140,000–$150,000 annually, with top performers historically earning $200,000+.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
• Schedule and complete 12–15 sales calls per week within your territory
• Build strong customer relationships through excellent communication and follow-up
• Analyze customer needs to provide tailored assembly solutions
• Work independently while collaborating with a supportive sales team
• Stay organized and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Travel within your assigned region to meet with clients

Qualifications

Required:

• Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to succeed in a competitive sales environment
• High energy with persistence and discipline
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to adapt to changing business practices and market conditions
• Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred:

• 2+ years of successful industrial sales experience
• Familiarity with CRM tools a plus
• Working knowledge of computer programming a plus
