This Position reports to:
Quality Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for verifying the quality of incoming raw materials, parts, or components, performing thorough inspections upon delivery; documenting findings, and taking necessary actions like rejecting non-conforming items or notifying suppliers of quality issues.

Also, you will be responsible for ensuring a product or service meets specified quality standards and customer expectations by identifying and reporting defects throughout the manufacturing process and ultimately preventing errors before a product is released to customer.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the ELSE Division in Mebane, NC. Main stakeholders are internal and external customers and vendors.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Creates quality inspections plans and conducts quality inspections, as assigned, to ensure products meet specified requirements and customer expectations in incoming inspection, manufacturing and final inspection quality.
• Perform dimensional checks : Using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, or any other to verify dimensions and tolerances of components against specifications.
• Reviews contracts from customer to ensure we meet the quality requirements before accept order.
• Reports quality issues data and metrics and escalates any product quality or safety non conformance cases to Quality Manager
• Participate as internal Auditor and in Suppliers audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001: 2015 and 10CFRPart 50 Appendix B.

Qualifications for the role

• High School Diploma with at least 4 years of experience in Quality department working as Quality Assurance Engineer; or alternately a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments in Quality.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering (preferred).
• Strong knowledge in Quality Control tools and Problem Solving methodologies.
• Lead auditor certified is desirable or at least Internal Auditor certified ISO 9001:2015.
• Knowledge in 10CFRPart 50 Appendix B is desirable.
• Operates in a fast-paced environment where decisions must be made quickly, and teamwork is essential.
• Strong knowledge in SAP and Microsoft programs, Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft outlook.
