Interpreter Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc., a federally qualified community health center located in Durham, NC is recruiting for Interpreter. Durham is known as the Bull City, the City of Medicine, the Tastiest Town in the South, and the Startup Capital of the South. It’s a two-hour drive from the beach, a three-hour drive from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is North Carolina’s fourth largest city by population. OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY Communicating in English/Spanish to perform a variety of clerical duties in the registration area involving receiving patient, advising them to clinic procedures, collection procedures and other general Center Information, Including the Patient’s Bill of Right and Responsibilities. Assisting Spanish speaking patients in accessing all clinic service by providing needed translation services KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English Follow standard clerical and office procedures Possess multitasking skills to able to work in stressful situations Professional in everyday dealings with patients and possess strong social skills Interpersonal skills in order to work harmoniously with other professionals Able to build trust between doctor and patient; Maintain excellent postures and calm in disturbing moments. Write legibly and to follow written guidelines. EDUCATION Minimum high school graduation or equivalent. Training received from an accredited College. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Previous Interpreting experience preferred. Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc.
