Finishing Technician
- Responsible for high quality creation of products according to specifications.
- Responsible for utilizing plans for production.
- Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
- Monitors project progression to ensure on-time completion.
- Perform basic daily maintenance and cleaning of all equipment per manufacturer’s instructions.
- Coordinate with Paint and Finishing Manager and/or relevant personnel to communicate workflow and project status.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the physical location.
- Responsible for applying stain and wood putty or wood filler to products
- Collaborate and maintain successful team relationships.
- Meets all assigned goals and assists others in accomplishing their goals.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Responsible for safely loading/unloading materials for transport.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to manage and navigate projects until completion in a fast-paced environment.
- No educational requirements
- Prior work experience as a painter in a metal shop (preferred)
- Physical Demands: This position lifts heavy objects of up to 50 pounds regularly and 70 lbs. occasionally, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, and carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
- Work Environment: This position regularly works in workshop conditions that include cold, heat and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is commensurate with a construction site. This position secondarily works in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is commensurate with a construction site.
