Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare job)
• Facility Setting: Telemetry Unit – Cardiac specialty
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: November 2, 2025
• End Date: February 1, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit Size: 24 beds
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Scrub Color: Any color permitted
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,710 - $1,750

Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for North Carolina nursing jobs)
• BLS & ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or cardiac RN experience
• Proficiency with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo cardiac monitoring equipment
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Experience with Cerner EHR preferred
• Ability to care for patients with cardiac diagnoses: chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post cardiac cath care

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions in a telemetry unit
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry readings and cardiac events
• Utilize Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment for continuous patient monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EHR (preferred)
• Float to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units as needed
• Foster a supportive, family-oriented environment for patients and colleagues
