Logistics/Inventory Specialist

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School Responsibilities Purchasing & Vendor Management
- Order Processing: Manage purchase orders for foreign (e.g., Saurer Spinning/Twisting) and domestic vendors, including material spec reviews.
- Expediting: Monitor open orders and expedite shipments to meet production or customer needs.
- Financial Accuracy: Review vendor invoices for pricing accuracy; resolve discrepancies before approval.
- Pricing Strategy: Use SECOS tools to verify pricing for new or stagnant items; identify and submit price adjustments to the Parts Manager.
- Receiving Coordination: Build containers in Sage; prepare receiving docs, stock labels, and back-order lists for warehouse staff.
- Inventory Control: Maintain bin locations and stock records; resolve discrepancies related to shipments and perform weekly maintenance.
- Order Fulfillment: Manage back-order allocations and process customer cancellations.
- System Integrity: Maintain part substitution logic (linkage/comments) and manage the removal of obsolete inventory based on analytical reports.
- RAFs & Credits: Issue Return Authorization Forms and process approved credit memos.
- Audit & Reporting: Conduct monthly reviews of uninvoiced shipping orders and generate inventory spreadsheets for management.

- Inventory Auditing (6 years of experience is preferred)
- Inventory (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Customer Service (5 years of experience is preferred)
- SAP (5 years of experience is preferred)
- ERP (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Computer Shipping Experience (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Import/Export (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Microsoft Excel (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Logistics (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Purchasing Experience (5 years of experience is preferred)
- Years of experience: 4 years
- Experience level: Experienced
