Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Driver for Patrol in Wilmington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as required, and document security-related incidents, maintenance concerns, and daily activities.
- Support emergency response activities in accordance with site procedures, including providing directions, communicating updates, and assisting with orderly access control during changing conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
