Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details

  • Location: Asheville, North Carolina 28801
  • Healthcare Setting: Hospital
  • Employment Type: Travel SLP (locum tenens)

  • Contract Duration: 12 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Shift: 10-hour days, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with weekend rotation
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,750 - $1,790
SLP Job Requirements
  • Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of recent SLP experience in a hospital or acute care setting
  • Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in weekend rotations
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare
Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate electronic medical records
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and strategies for ongoing care
  • Participate in hospital initiatives to improve patient outcomes and support clinical excellence
