Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues for a variety of equipment and processes. You will be responsible for installing new equipment and ensuring the optimal performance of machinery. This role demands a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Install new equipment and ensure proper functionality.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machinery, replacing worn parts, and calibrating equipment.
• Repair and troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels.

Essential Skills

• Experience with wiring pumps and motors.
• Experience repairing and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong knowledge of boiler systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in MIG and stick welding and the ability to perform welding repairs as needed.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and the ability to diagnose and fix electrical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management software.
• Must be comfortable with heights up to 30 feet.

Work Environment

The work environment is dirty and non-climate controlled with exposure to elements. You may work in confined spaces and at heights up to 30 feet. The first shift runs from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
