• Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1800 - $1840 per week

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Wilson, North Carolina (27893) – North Carolina nursing jobs
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel RN)
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (22 beds, adult and geriatric patient population)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/28/2025 – End: 11/27/2025)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other or every third weekend (12-hour shifts)
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech EMR
• Orientation: Bi-weekly start dates

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – required for travel nursing jobs
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Experience with EKG interpretation and strong critical thinking skills preferred
• Ability to float to Med/Surg Overflow as needed
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Team-oriented and flexible approach
• Travel nurse candidates must reside 60+ miles from Wilson, NC

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret EKGs; manage basic cardiac drips
• Oversee patient admissions and discharges
• Provide care for common diagnoses including CHF, chest pain, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, CKD, and post-cardiac cath care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and foster a positive, team-oriented environment
• Float to Med/Surg Overflow unit as required
