What You’ll Do
As a Dump Truck Driver, you’ll play a vital role in our construction success. You’ll be responsible for safely picking up and delivering bulk materials—sand, gravel, rock, concrete, and fly ash—from suppliers to plants and job sites.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Operate dump trucks and related equipment with expert precision
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections in line with DOT standards
- Maintain accurate time and material records
- Follow clear verbal and written instructions
- Demonstrate excellent maneuvering and backing skills
- Strictly adhere to all company and safety protocols
- Be a reliable team player with regular, predictable attendance
Are You the Right Fit?
We’re looking for professionals with a passion for safety and teamwork. To succeed, you should:
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Have 3+ years of experience driving trucks with similar weight and equipment (preferred)
- Maintain a valid CDL B license
- Be 18 years or older
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
- Hold a valid DOT medical card
- Meet all company and DOT standards for MVR and licensing
- Be willing to travel and work nights/weekends as needed
- Display a professional, courteous attitude toward colleagues and the public
- Wear required PPE in designated areas (face shield, hard toe shoes, coveralls, etc.)
- Comply with all OSHA/MSHA regulations
Your Skills Make the Difference
You bring expert knowledge of dump truck operations, equipment safety, and securing heavy/over-dimensional loads. You can read blueprints or project documents, keep detailed material records, follow instructions, and communicate clearly—while working independently or as part of a crew. Professionalism with customers is a must, including collecting payments and resolving issues.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
· Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility.
· Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
· Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
· Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
· Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments.
· Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
· Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
