RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center with high volume of over 100,000 visits annually
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement
• Must be flexible to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
• No floating outside of ED but must float to all sections within the department
• Use Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Document in Cerner electronic health record system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all before start date), ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Navy scrubs required for dress code
• Expected to follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient experience standards
• Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas
• Unit clerks available during days and nights
