Sr. Data Architect for historic employee first company

The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Sr. Data Architect with strong Data Lake experience for an immediate FTE role. This is a pivotal technical leadership role within one of the largest recyclers of any product in the U.S. If you are the kind of influential data leader that loves forging both the hands on solutions and data strategy for an organization, then this is the role for you!

COMPENSATION

TOTAL COMPENSATION = $204,800 - $254,200, broken down as follows :

• Base salary range – $160,000 - $185,000
• Annual bonus of 28-32% paid over the past 5 years!

A day in the life will include:

• Ensure that industry-accepted data architecture principles and standards are integrated and followed to meet technical and business goals.
• Maintain secure, high quality, reliable data delivery.
• Work closely with teams to collect and translate information requirements into data to develop data-centric solutions that meet current needs and are scalable to adopt future changes in technology. Leading this effort requires coordination and integration with various project teams across our client's divisions.
• Lead effort to design and implement a new Data Lakehouse architecture for divisions needing a datastore for raw data and filtered datasets for self-service and IT managed reporting.
• Provide assistance and thought leadership for defining our client's and Reference

Your profile should include most of the following attributes:

• 10+ years of experience in designing, building, and implementing modern data integration and data warehouse solutions
• Professional expertise in designing solutions in Microsoft Azure
• Experience in Azure Databricks
• Experience in Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and/or Data Lake houses at scale
• Extensive hands-on experience in implementing ETL/ELT solutions with data migration experience
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with popular BI tools and self-service BI environments
• Experience in integration strategy including roadmap, architecture, and governance model
• Experiences working within Agile Frameworks
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. An equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered
• Exposure to data governance and master data management practices
• Experience with metadata-driven integration and data pipeline architecture
• Be willing to work on site 3 days+ a week in Dallas, TX or Charlotte, NC
