Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Cerner proficiency, and ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Work in a 32-bed Emergency Department at a 355-bed acute care hospital
- Patient population spans all ages (birth to death), including stroke, STEMI, and trauma cases
- Patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:5
- Cerner EMR is used and experience is required
- Critical care equipment is used in this unit
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekends rotate every other weekend
- Call requirements include push-back hours depending on census
- Floating may be required to areas where the nurse has demonstrated competencies
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an emergency department setting
- Required certifications: ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Experience with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma preferred
- Strong critical care thinking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- This facility does not hold an official trauma designation but receives all trauma cases
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are not permitted
- 13-week contract
