Part-time Kids' Biking Coach
Riding bikes can feel like freedom and pure joy. It gives you confidence by the skills you develop and a greater sense of connection to yourself, your loved ones and your surroundings.
Now is your chance to pass this on to the next generation. KidCycle Club uses the bicycle as a vehicle to power confidence and connection in kids. We create a safe and fun environment to get kids into riding and share skills to build their confidence and allow them to enjoy our amazing mountain environment.
We need your help! We are growing, and we are looking for Part-time Kids’ Biking Coaches of all skill levels to work with our kids’ biking Classes, After School Programs, Parents’ Day Out Clinics, Private Lessons, Guided Family Tours and Special Events. A KidCycle Club Coach leads small groups of Riders aged 1 to 4 years old and their Parents, as well as Riders aged 5 to 12 years old on an outdoor adventure to build their biking skills, confidence and connection in a safe and fun environment.

KidCycle Club Coaching offerings range in age (1 to 12 years old), terrain (paved to mountain biking), length of time (30 minutes to 4 hours) and format (1 to 10 riders). As a KidCycle Club Guide, you would lead Guided Family Tours or host fun events, such as birthday parties or community events.
Starting pay: $18+ / hour based on experience and certifications

Coaching Expectations
- Safety is our #1 priority – this includes physical and emotional Safety of yourself and the Riders
- Fun is our #2 priority – Coaches create a fun environment for Riders to interact with the Coach and each other
- Learning is our #3 priority – when Riders feel safe and are having fun, Learning can begin!
- Provide professional biking instruction and coaching
- Wear a KidCycle Club uniform (provided) for coaching and guiding
- Use the KidCycle Club curriculum to teach biking skills, confidence and connection
- Uphold KidCycle Club rules and guidelines for the safety and well-being of the whole group
- Store and maintain KidCycle Club equipment as needed
- Attune to the Riders’ and Parents’ learning objectives
- Facilitate Learning through Fun
- Adapt and adjust to meet the needs of all learning styles
What You Bring

- Outdoor leadership experience (preferred)
- Experience and enjoyment of working with children in this age group (1 – 12 years old)
- Responsibility to be the safeguard of the Riders in your group each session
- Positive, caring attitude for the Riders and Parents each day
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for Coaching and working with People
- First Aid (Wilderness First Aid preferred) & CPR certifications
- PMBIA, BICP or NICA Level 2 Coach certification preferred, but not required
- Experience driving a trailer recommended, but not required
- General physical fitness – riding sessions can be up to 4 hours
- Ability to run, stop, stoop, bend, push
- Use of both hands, arms, legs and feet
- May include lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must pass background check
- Must hold valid driver’s license
- Mountain Bike Coaches must provide a bike appropriate to their relevant activity
Note: COVID-19 Health & Safety Policies in place for the health and safety of all Riders and Coaches. Vaccinations required for Coaches in close contact with Riders.
