Summary

TRANSPORT BULK FEED FROM THE CANDOR FEEDMILL TO PERDUE FARMS CHICKEN HOUSES.

COMPLETE OTHER DUTIES AS DEEMED NECESSARY BY MANAGEMENT.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• DELIVER FEED IN A SAFE AND EFFICIENT MANNER. COMPLETE DELIVERIES WHILE FOLLOWING ALL PROGRAM PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES.
• OBSERVE ALL HIGHWAY LAWS, DOT LAWS AND FLEET SAFETY REGULATIONS.
• CLEAN UP ANY FEED SPILLS THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ON FARMS AND AT THE FEEDMILL
• TAKE PROPER CARE OF ASSIGNED EQUIPMENT
• COMPLETE ALL RELATED PAPERWORK ACCURATELY AND TURN IN ON TIME

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent

Experience Requirements

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF VERIFIABLE DRIVING EXPERIENCE IN THE LAST 5 YEARS, VALID CDL AND CLEAN MVR

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

The environmental factors and / or physical requirements of this position include the following: MUST BE ABLE TO CLIMB IN AND OUT OF FEED TRACTORS MULTIPLE TIMES PER SHIFT. REQUIRES DRIVERS TO WALK AROUND DELIVERY EQIPMENT AND TO THE FEED BINS AT CHICKEN HOUSES. DRIVERS WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO OPEN BIN LIDS USING ROPES AND CHAINS STANDING ON THE BASE OF THE CONCRETE PAD. DRIVERS WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO HOOK AND UNHOOK FEED TRAILERS FROM TRACTORS. WILL BE EXPOSED TO OUTSIDE WEATHER CONDITIONS. A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF AIR BORNE DUST. MUST WEAR REQUIRED PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. MUST BE ABLE TO USE BROOM, SHOVEL AND OTHER HAND TOOLS IN ORDER TO CLEAN UP FEED AND HYDRAULIC SPILLS.
