Tax Senior Associate- Boutique CPA Advisory Firm

We have been retained by a boutique-style (regional amp; mid sized) and family operated accounting firm in the Charlotte, North Carolina Metro area. They are hiring for a skilled senior tax associate (Tax Senior) with 3-4 years of tax prep and review experience.

This is a firm that has a great work life schedule, puts employees first, and doesn't work wild hours like some firms (hours are capped at very reasonable amounts even during busy season). The partners are looking for someone on a fast track to promotion / manager or senior manager soon, and that handle a variety of tax prep and review for a variety of local area businesses.

About the Role:

• Pay: $95,000- $135,000 (can be higher with right experience)
• Prep and review tax returns for various entities, businesses, high net worth individuals, pass through entities, C-Corps, S-Corps, and Partnerships.
• Enter this information into a variety of prep software programs like CCH, Pro System, and Ultra Tax
• Ensure all business tax returns are filed in accordance with Firm guidelines as well as ensuring federal regulations are met
• Work with the IRS at times for resolutions needed
• Work well with the partners for any special cases

Background and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, stats, business administration or related field (econ, stats, math)
• CPA eligible, CPA license currently, or in progress is ideal, EA is also a plus. or working to obtain the EA with 3-4 years of solid Tax experience in a business entity capacity
• 3-4 years of solid tax prep and review experience in a local accounting environment, Big firm, regional firm, or equivalent firm doing daily tax prep and review work on multiple entities and HNW clients
• Very proficient with various tax software programs, could be Thompson Reuters, CCH, or other well known tax software
• Understanding of tax laws and ability to be in a fast paced tax environment to get work done efficiently

Job Details:

• Full time Monday through Friday
• Hours capped in busy season unlike a lot of firms where you may work 70-80 hours a week
• Salary: $95,000- $135,000
