• Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment, & test drive vehicles before and after repairs are made.
• Identify necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance needed.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Complete online multi-point inspection reports.
• Document services performed and steps taken to complete each repair.
• Perform services efficiently and according to dealership/manufacture guidelines.
• Estimate all necessary parts needed for each repair.
• Follow Safeguards rules and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Must have at least 3 years of experience as an auto technician
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Have strong organizational skills and be extremely detail oriented.
• Be self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with little supervision.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Fast learner
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Team player
• Computer literate
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Must have a clean criminal background and pass pre-employment drug screen.
