Basic Job Functions: The HR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing best practices, as well as establishing plans for continuous improvement within the department and division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the HR department including, but not limited to, employment, recruitment and selection, legal compliance, policy administration, payroll and benefits administration, corporate and government reporting, training administration, and overall HR support. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent years of HR experience
- Minimum of 4 years of HR related work experience
- Payroll and human resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior leadership experience.
- Experience in working with SAP.
- Basic knowledge of fundamental federal and state employment laws.
- Training and presentation experience.
- Willingness to relocate now and in the future.
