Geotechnical, Testing, & Inspections Group Manager

Salary: $135,000.00

We have partnered with an engineering design and consulting firm in the Raleigh, NC area to provide them with a Geotechnical, Testing, & Inspections Group Manager. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Geotechnical, Testing, & Inspections Group Manager:

#1. Must have PE License or ability to acquire within 6 months

#2. Must have at least 8-10yrs of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering, materials testing and/or Special Inspections.

#3. Must have strong technical skills in either Geotechnical Engineering or Testing/Inspection.

#4. No more than 3 jobs in the last 10yrs.

Responsibilities of the Geotechnical, Testing, & Inspections Group Manager:

The position will include oversight, direction, and growth of a team of project managers, senior technical engineers, technicians/inspectors, and support staff. Along with leadership of the team, this individual will be responsible for the overall performance of the department (P&L), client interaction, and some technical review.

Requirements of the Geotechnical, Testing, & Inspections Group Manager:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required. If registered in other states than North Carolina, individual must have the ability to obtain reciprocity in NC within 6 months
• Must have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering, materials testing and/or Special Inspections
• Displays strong technical skills in either Geotechnical Engineering or Testing/Inspection
• Results-oriented individual with superior skills in organization, planning and attention to detail
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Displays strong leadership and personnel management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills that will allow you to effectively and professionally interact with clients, approval authorities, governmental officials and the public.
• Firm understanding of risk management and loss prevention.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with deadlines and ability to adjust to project priorities and demands of multiple clients.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint and relevant technical software required), including the ability to learn various types of company / client software
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.

Other Key Requirements:

• 100% in-office role.
